First in the series of an ongoing project of crafting spaces by hand. Hopper Street is treated as an internal joinery project that has been designed and made by the one individual, by hand where possible. All elements have been stripped back to their bare essence and to where the space becomes hero through scale, textures, materials, junctions, light and darkness.
In doing this the focus is about engaging with the space and the individual connecting with the raw concept of what architecture is... the art of building.
The project becomes more about the sculptural aspects and understandings of space and volumes.
